Nicolas Sturmel is Senior Technologist at Merging Technologies where he mainly focuses on innovation in networked audio for the music production, interoperability and IT systems integration. He leads the ANEMAN project, an open specification networked audio controller and monitoring tool. Before joining Merging Technologies, Nicolas worked as Head of Research for Digigram where he led a Virtual Studio project and many applied research projects in audio and video. He got a PhD in Signal Processing in 2011 from University Paris XI - Orsay and a Master Degree from University Paris VI - UPMC and IRCAM in 2006. He worked 2 years in a Professional studio as a Recording/Mixing Assistant. He also was a Postdoctoral fellow at Institut Langevin ESPCI and Gipsa'lab GRENOBLE from 2011 to 2012. Nicolas is an active participant in the AES Task Groups defining and maintaining AES67 AoIP Standard and the AES Technical Committee on Networked Audio Systems.
